"In The Darkness"

I just finished clearing my desk to get ready for a fresh and productive week.  Underneath one of my many piles of papers I discover a message from my pastor, Dr. Benjamin Gaither....Before I even go into the message based on my notes, I must say...I am always amazed on how the  very words that are needed to move oneself into a realm of peace or  productivity, can usually be found with an arms length.....

......On my notes I found 2 key points from 2 different sections of his message.
1st- Faith is now! "If you live in the realm of possibilities or hope, you will never see GOD.
2nd-Developing people is very similar to developing film into a picture.  The film is placed in a darkroom and the process begins.  Majority of the development occurs in the darkness."  In our case the darkness (wilderness) ( a place of discomfort) is where we are stripped of what is perceive as normal, comfortable, or livable.  The darkness is the place where the people in your circle can't reach you.  Darkness is the place or state where you are forced to strip down the world and focus on mental and spiritual armor that one must possess. 

Why is this important??  Have you ever noticed when lights initially are turned off, your sight is limited...after a period of time, your eyes adjust...and now you can see whats in front of you.
Did you catch that!  At this very moment the economy may feel bleak, finances are at minimum, current job situation may be below your level....Congratulations!...you are being developed.  Adjust your eyes!

Out With The Old, In With The New

Many of us begin our new year discarding old items, putting away holiday decorations, cleaning every inch of the house for the new year.   We clean and discard in hopes of getting a fresh start.  In 2012 instead of focusing on physical items, make a goal to discard thoughts and ideas that in years past did not breathe life into your mind or spirit.  This year focus on being conscious....conscious to thoughts and ideas that increase your productivity, brings about a sense of peace, allows you to step outside of your box and dream and plan the way children dream...without limitations.
